Well its supposed to end in 2008, after the two seasons this year and next year, whether Fox back tracks is what its down to.
I really hope they don't renew it and the reports were correct.

The film was meant to be the final episode, so to speak.

Simpsons is an embaressment now, it hasn't been funny since, what, season 8 or so?

i agree simpsons has sucked for many years now, ocassionally it has its brief moments but they are very few and far between and not as memorable as once was

what i want to know though is, if futurama is getting new episodes on cartoon network, will the 4 movies that are meant to be getting made come out, or will these new episodes infact just be the movies broken down into episodes?

i don't think they are making the "DVD movies" now, just the series of 13 episodes.
4 dvd movies, at about 3 episodes a pop, is your 12/13 episodes right there.

yeah thats what i worked out too but i was hoping we would get 4 dvdmovies and 13 ep series, all more futurama is always a good thing...unless it turns into simpsons

yeah, more futurama is always good, but alas, i fear that men in suits really aren't very good judges of quality.

Simpsons beating a long running record reminds me of Ronaldo beating the world cup goal scoring records. Except Ronaldo can still score, maybe and the Simpsons hasn't hit the target in years.

Didn't notice any pop-unders on IMDB and so shan't you dammit ... just add this lines to your host file (run: notepad %windir%\system32\drivers\etc\hosts):

Damn, I must have missed some lines relevant to IMDB in the list I posted. Also, I don't think that HOSTS file is read by FF, Opera,... and that line in it "This is a sample HOSTS file used by Microsoft TCP/IP for Windows." does suggest it applies to TCP/IP in general, only I don't think that's the case cuz it's not loaded into TCP/IP filtering dialogue (advanced settings under TCP/IP protocol of your network adapter)... so I only use IE to browse such sites and it's only in IE that I don't get any popups/popunders on IMDB I can send you a complete HOSTS file I use (only filled with spammers and major advertising companies) but it's pretty long (14K+ IPs/sites). I guess some 3rd party popup blocker is in order if you only use non-M$ browsers (hate to admit it, but more recent versions of IE do this job quite well)
