Yes the poster is Korean, the movie aint...

Set in Canton, China in the 1940s, the story revolves around a hapless wannabe gangster who
aspires to become a member of the notorious "Axe Gang." Other characters include an obnoxious
landlady and her apparently frail husband who exhibit extraordinary powers in defending their turf.

The Prophecy 2... not as good as the first one but still alright I guess. Getting a tad more silly and not nearly violent enough for my liking.

Watched <s>Angel Series</s> The Propechy 3... is it just me or is Angel the series scarily similar to The Propechy 3? Naked people in a pile :o

Was okay I suppose.

Watch Shaolin Soccer, lol, was laughing quite hard at the bit where they're singing about Shaolins, "no he is iron head.." *whack* I think I prefered Kung Fu Hussle, but Shaolin soccer is cool too.

Yup.

Watched Pink Floyd The Wall, which is pretty cool and of course the soundtrack is good, but to be honest, Bob Geldof ruined bits of it by singing/speaking some of the best lines of the songs :matrix: :eatthis:

Luckily 'The Trial' remains intact.

Caught a bit of The Negotiator on tv, so had to dust of the DVD and watch it :) I like that film, simple, plain, but good for what it is.

oh dear lord! :-o

Bob Geldof ruined bits of it by singing/speaking some of the best lines of the songs .... Luckily 'The Trial' remains intact.

Code: Select all
Good morning, The Worm, Your Honour,
The Crown will plainly show,
The prisoner who now stands before you,
Was caught red-handed showing feelings.
Showing feelings of an almost human nature.
This will not do.
Call the schoolmaster!
I always said he'd come to no good,
In the end, Your Honour.
If they'd let me have my way,
I could have flayed him into shape.
But my hands were tied. The bleeding hearts and artists,
Let him get away with murder.
Let me hammer him today.
Crazy.
Toys in the attic, I am crazy.
Truly gone fishing.
They must have taken my marbles away.
Crazy.Toys in the attic, he is crazy.
You little shit, you're in it now.
I hope they throw away the key.
You should've talked to me more often than you did.
But no! You had to go your own way.
Have you broken any homes up lately?
Just five minutes, Worm, Your Honour,
Him and me alone.Baaaaaabe!
Come to Mother, baby.
Let me hold you in my arms.
M'Lord, I never meant for him to get in any trouble.
Why'd he ever have to leave me?
Worm, Your Honour, let me take him home.
Crazy.
Over the rainbow, I am crazy.
Bars in the window.
There must have been a door there in the wall.
For when I came in.
Crazy.
Over the rainbow, he is crazy.
The evidence before the court is incontravertible.
There's no need for the jury to retire.
In all my years of judging I have never heard before,
Of someone more deserving of the full penalty of the law.
The way you made them suffer,
Your exquisite wife and mother,
Fills me with the urge to deficate!
No, Judge, the jury!
Since, my friend, you have revealed your deepest fear,
I sentence you to be exposed before your peers.
Tear down the wall!

He speaks almost inaudibly the intro to the song. He however, ruins this one just after his breakdown and his first neo-nazi show:
So ya thought ya might like to go to the show.
To feel the warm thrill of confusion, that space cadet glow.
I got me some bad news for you, Sunshine.
Pink isn't well, he stayed back at the hotel,
And he sent us along as a surrugate band.
We're gonna find out where you fans really stand.
Are there any queers in the theatre tonight?
Get 'em up against the wall. -- 'Gainst the wall!
And that one in the spotlight, he don't look right to me.
Get him up against the wall. -- 'Gainst the wall!
And that one looks Jewish, and that one's a coon.
Who let all this riffraff into the room?
There's one smoking a joint, and another with spots!
If I had my way I'd have all of ya shot.

and given that The Wall is essentially one f*cked up long music video, its not good to let Bob Geldoff speak on it. :matrix:

They are mutally exclusive I assure you, and the latter isn't absolutely necessary to recognise The Wall as a decent music video I don't feel. :)

Million Dollar Baby</i> - great flick. Like most Eastwood stuff, not entirely original, but well done. still a hollywood movie, so it lingers too long on the heart strings (kinda like soaps do). at the opposite end of the spectrum is the understated emotional stuff in Sideways</i>. iunno. I liked it. eastwood and freeman reminded me of oscar and felix. good chemistry.
