I also gave up on "Reaper". I had three last episodes to watch and only managed up to the one before last... I actually played spider solitaire at the same time trying hard not to get bored. I think the first ep was promising and in a sense quite funny, too. Then it just got soapy. It tries to be funny at that but I just don't see the point in watching it any more. Why don't they just paint a pentagram on the devil's forehead and be done with it
I'll rather stick to some other shows like "My Name is Earl" for my weekly dose of adolescent humor. At least that show is funny. OK, done bashing "Reaper"... deleted
And I made such a nice folder image for it
Still watching and some half way through the latest ep of "Heroes". Iunno. For the last few eps I can't get rid of an impression the writers rushed it in. It simply ain't of a quality it used to be in the first season. Especially dialogs that are getting generic. I think I'll still stick to it for the time being but I'll expect some really fascinating conclusion to the second season if I'm to continue watching it.
I think I might give "Journeyman" and "The Big Bang Theory" a try and leave "Chuck" and "Back to You" for the rainy days.
Also watched "Island at War". It's a 6 part mini series of Channel islands being occupied by Nazis in WWII. It's a decent mini with good quality acting (Philip Glenister plays Oberst Heinrich Baron Von Rheingarten, the cherry in charge of occupation, and plays it brilliantly IMO) and some great action sequences, especially in the first few parts. The ending leaves the whole story just hanging in mid air as we only learn of the destiny of some lead characters and that's about the only complaint I'd have with it. Other than that it's a great mini only a bit hard to find. It took me ages to get hold of a copy of it.
EDIT: PM me if you want it and can't find it anywhere
