whats up with disposable dvds

ive been seeing thoes vending machines more and more. i got a copy of daun jaun form the pizza joint the other week but havent taken it out of the wrapper?
just wondering how they r burned and why it wears off??

I think they are coated with chemicals which when exposed to air begin to slowly disintergrate the disc surface, making it unplayable after a certain period of time.

I remember 8 years ago when CDR were very expensive they had a 10 year expire date on the box
so basicly all my old games are gone in 2 years

err i was thinking it was a japan thing- they alwas have cool shit b4 the states

a & i hate to admit it but i havent had 5free gigs in weeks

I never have any free space but its normally two 2dvdr burning sessions away :)

You got no one elses pc to rincewind for space? That's always my plan B.

ive gave up trying to store my files on dvdr.
my burnner blows, making new sessions and multiple files is one prob after another
