The show has been round for a bit now.. so wat is the genral opinions?

I think it is starting to slow, they have it back 2 front.. they are trying to introduce the charicters to much. all this yakking about them, getting to know each other... who gives a fuck.... they should be just doing hard and fast stories, wait untill the audience GIVES a fuck before yakking about there stupid made up alien religions

Still i think it is showing a lot of promise, really liked the "flying darkness that eats energy" ep..... and that even had KIDS in it!!!

I havn't got any S8 SG1 yet but I still think they might link the shows up when the SG1 ends./

I deleted it from my hard drive, started okay, then when i posted last in this topic about how crappy it was, it went downhill rapidly. Total waste of studio money imo...

No story, no motivation for me to watch a mediocre series.

Should be axed and the money spent on more farscape :)

I think you will regret this. :-)
But serious, 99% of all season ones I found boring.
Stargate, Voyager, Star Trek TNG, Buffy, Babylon 5 and several others more or less sucked in season 1, but got better.....except for Voyager, perhaps. ;-)

And if they do, I want them complete. Even the sucky parts.

Btw. they really should have spared us the Genii junk. First time I don't anticipate the second part of a midseason cliff hanger.

Do not get me wrong, I am still collecting it.. I think it has potential still. Some of the eps are at least as good qual as SG1.

SG1 is a good show. Took me a long time to get into it... but once I sorta looked up from the other shows I got into first and noticed it really, I got right into it... mabey there was just nothing else better? Either way it has entertained me and I'm curious to were, Atlantis might go.

Preorder first Atlantis DVD (Region 2)
WEDNESDAY - NOVEMBER 17, 2004

Amazon.co.uk is now accepting preorders for the first installments of Stargate SG-1 Season Eight and Stargate Atlantis Season One on DVD (Region 2)! Order from GateWorld and support the future of the site.

Stargate SG-1 - Volume 38 arrives on February 14, 2005, and will include the first handful of episodes from the show's highly-rated eighth season. The disc carries a suggested retail price of £19.99, but Amazon.co.uk has it for £14.99 (subject to change).

Stargate Atlantis - Volume 1 arrives on February 28, with the same price tag. The exact episodes and special features included on both discs are still unknown.

It is also not yet known when MGM will release the new episodes in North America (Region 1), but based on previous years they are likely to come in complete boxed sets next fall. Stay tuned to GateWorld for the very latest!

saw an episode on tv and its still no better, so is this pretty much still SG1 without macgyver?

I read about the farscape crew invading SG1 soon, may catch those ones, but I always found Stargate a bit desposable like Star Trek :(
