yeah, that definitely gave me the "ah ha! she does have a new directive." then again, remember when the cylons were talking atop the city building (with no humans to perform infront of) and blonde says boomer's model was always weak and the male (reporter) model says something about her being jealous about not being able to experience "wuv, twu wuv" with helo or the good dr. baltar in the mini. thus suggesting that the cylons do experience emotions (feelings of pleasure or pain that impact one's ability to make a judgment, according to aristotle). just to layer cake it, it looked (to me) like the first boomer didn't want</i> to kill adama but it was hardwired into her (like instinct in a dog to chase rabbits or something). Now assuming she geniuinely felt compassion for adama, it wasn't enough to prevent her from popping off a few rounds in his gut. but that opens the door for boomer 2.0...even if she is on a cylon mission to create a baby, does that mean she doesn't feel for helo? (remember that the cylons said repeatedly that love is required for make da baby - I know, it's lame and hokey) now number six seemed to love baltar, but he didn't reciprocate? is it so far to leap that in order to get the "love" thing down, both parties need to be in love? and then if they are, then 2.0 has some motivation not</i> to betray the fleet. even if she intends to, there's room for a crisis of conscience - boomer 1.0 had a few of those herself.
my only problem with this path of thinking is that if boomer 1.0 knows how many cylons are in the fleet and what they all look like, then 2.0 should definitely know. so are they just not going to take that into account? (lame) have her unload her baby, contact the rest of the operatives, then betray the fleet? (conceivable) unload her baby, have a crisis of conscience, save the fleet in the nick of time from the rest of the cylon operatives (most likely).
:2cents: of course
Life ducks, and you sigh.
