A show ahead of its time with lots of classic cars was produced by the creators of Batman, also out at the same time. Its diverse, not knowing whats going to happen, weekly series kept show watchers coming back for more.
The Green Hornet's dual character, a lot like Batman's, gave an interesting role to follow. Unlike the "super-hero" image that Batman presented, The Green Hornet has a more realistic approach to fighting crime with an array of weapons and more discriminate planning.
Its cult following has sparked an interest for an upcoming movie.
Bruce Lee made his entry to TV on this weekly series which unfortunately lasted only one season of 26 episodes.
The latest buzz is that screenwriter Kevin Smith is in the final writings of a new Green Hornet film to be produced at Miramax/Dimension sometime in 2005.
It's for real this time. The Ant Farm (theantfarm.net) which specializes in Motion Picture Title Graphics, already has a proposed opener in their motion-graphics-trailer on their website.
